HY SUCHMAN is a Vermont sculptor who has worked in steel sculpture for his entire life. His work ranges in size from smaller pieces of about one foot in size, to monumental pieces over ten feet high. Stainless steel and iron are his primary materials of choice. His sculptures always express an instant in time of great motion, and they tend to be sufficiently subjective that the viewer can always relate to each piece in a personal way. Many of his sculptures are uniquely balanced, and are attached to their bases in a manner that they seem to defy gravity!
Hy Suchman's work has been enjoyed throughout the world by individuals, companies, and museums for more than six decades. He has recieved numerous awards in shows and competitions, and is collected by numerous fans worldwide.
IVAN SUCHMAN, following in his father's footsteps, similarly captures the dynamic of the human form in his steel and aluminum sculptures. His works express the celebratory human spirit. He finds inspiration through his observations of movement and human interactions. His career as a fabricator of ornamental metalwork has given him a sense of flow and balance that he brings to his art.
