Using the lost wax process, Sammis begins her work in wax, and then finishes with bronze, a material formed by earth and fire. This series of sculpture is monumentally successful in making the spirit a reality to the senses of sight and touch. Her bronzes are powerful images full of elation, movement, and joy.
