King Of The Hill By Anne Cady
The Green Mountain Fine Art Gallery in Stowe is pleased to present a new one-woman show of new paintings by regional artist Anne Cady.

The opening reception for the artist will be held at the Gallery in Stowe on Saturday, July 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The public is invited to meet the artist, talk to her about her work, and meet other art enthusiasts. Refreshments will be provided.

Anne Cady’s work pays homage to the beauty of Vermont – the farms and land that surround us here in the spectacular Green Mountains. Her paintings are a result of combining what is seen, felt and imagined. She uses bold color in flat planes to move the viewer through the painting, defining and accentuating the shapes, rhythms, and patterns of light found in nature. There is a simplicity in her paintings which is in part a result of many years of making art with children and learning from the simple, playful way they see the world. The simplicity of her work is enriched with mystery and magic. This is achieved by placing her subjects in the transitional light of early morning or early evening.

The show will continue through August.
